North Somerset has been hit by several inches of snow overnight after weather forecasts stated the chance of snow to be minimal for the area. The BBC Weather service had previously been forecasting light rain for last night, however it appears they got it wrong! Weston residents awoke to 2 inches of snow in some parts which inevitably caused travel chaos for many residents of the town particularly around the motorway junction at Worle and St Georges.
